Days 1–3: Tbilisi base
Follow the Tbilisi 3-day itinerary — Old Town and sulfur baths, Rustaveli and Fabrika, and a day trip to Mtskheta. Two evenings of supra dinners are a must.
Day 4: Kazbegi day trip
Full-day round trip to Stepantsminda and Gergeti Trinity Church with stops at Ananuri Fortress and the Friendship Monument. Hire a private driver (180–220 USD for the car) so you can dictate pace and stops.
Days 5–6: Kakheti wine country
Two nights in Sighnaghi or Telavi. Day 5: explore the cellars and Bodbe monastery. Day 6: family wineries around Kvareli and Napareuli, with stops for Pheasant's Tears wines and a swim in the Alazani Valley reservoir if it is summer.
Days 7–8: Svaneti
Fly Tbilisi → Mestia (40 min, ~80 USD) or take the night train to Zugdidi + marshrutka. Two nights in Mestia, with one full day for the Chalaadi Glacier hike or the road to Ushguli, the highest continuously inhabited village in Europe. Svan towers everywhere; Svan food (kubdari, chvishtari) is some of the best in the country.
Days 9–10: Batumi and the Black Sea
Marshrutka or shared taxi from Mestia down to Batumi (5–6 h via Zugdidi). One day for the Black Sea promenade, the Batumi Botanical Garden, Adjarian khachapuri (the boat-shaped one with the egg!), and the Argo cable car. Fly out from Batumi airport, or take the night train back to Tbilisi.
